Thumbs up Forum Rules :: Please Read before your first post...

Why even have rules? Well, we need them to keep the place running smoothly so everyone benefits, staff and users alike. So as a general guideline:

Though this is a community forum we reserve the right to accept or decline your membership application, so you are not guaranteed membership and your membership is subject to revocation.

You may only have one account. Under no condition you will be allowed more than one account. Can you be banned? Yes, Violation of the rules will result in a warning and possibly a ban, depending on the severity of the violation. Warnings will be issued by PM . Permanent bans are at the discression of the management.

EACH FORUM MAY HAVE ITS OWN SET OF RULES. PLEASE READ ALL STICKIES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS IN THE INDIVIDUAL FORUMS BEFORE POSTING.

1. No flaming
3. 2. No advertising
4. No spamming
5. No racial/religious/ethnic slurs including religious/racial preaching or fundamentalism
6. No pornographic cartoons, illustrations or photos
7. No PERSONAL Attacks

Don't like these rules?

Can you argue with the staff about these rules? You can disagree with staff posts as often as you like as we are just users like yourselves, but no one (including us) can argue about the rules. We have to abide by them just as much as you do.

Respecting other users

We are always trying to provide an atmosphere here where any user can feel comfortable asking any question. If a thread is lame and you cannot find something constructive to say, then just leave it. A moderator is almost always on hand and the thread will be disabled/erased promptly.

Flaming

No flaming is allowed under any circumstances. If you must, address any less than polite comments to someone in a private email--not here in public forums. So please show some courtesy here and help make this forum an informative and highly useful place---not a war zone.

Disagreeing with rules

If you don’t like the rules, then feel free to drop any moderator a PM saying as such and offer some constructive comments and/or criticism as to how the rule or rules can be modified. By saying “these rules suck” we guarantee you 100% that you won’t get anywhere with us. Try saying instead, “I think this rule could be altered because ….” and you probably will get a fair and prompt hearing on the mod board.

What do you mean by no advertising?

Basically, this means no linking to your own sites for the sole purpose of advertising any product or service.

Why have moderators?

We're here to delete useless and redundant posts to ensure that the boards run effortlessly and logically. We may even choose to move posts to the appropriate forum if we feel it is out of place. By the way, anyone can become a moderator--it is not an elite club. Just help out on a particular subject or topic often enough, and sooner or later you will get your chance. Every person here posted for a long time before any sort of promotion came their way, so patience is key here.

Can I edit my own post?

You can edit any post. But it should be done within 15 minutes of the message posting. The reason behind this is that the majority of threads here tend to have flowing conversations. So if someone went and edited his/her thread, chances are excellent that months later someone using the search feature will come across that thread and it just won’t make any sense. It would be foolish of us to encourage everyone to use the search feature knowing the majority of old threads could be rendered virtually useless.

But I made a mistake!

It’s cool. We all make mistakes. No one is going to grade you based on the way you have spelled a word or used grammar and syntax. So just keep going and don’t worry about it. If your mistake is one regarding the answer to a specific question/answer, then just post a supplemental reply under your original thread adding your correction.

so Happy posting....
