Personally, I believe that every age should have the right to rework certain works of art of the past. But the structure of Choto kheyal is so obvious in this particular song that it can hardly be replaced with jazz modalities in a country like India. Besides, the replacement of 16 beats with 8 beats tended more to be a sign of weakness than of creativity. It gave rise to the suspicion that probably most of the musicians who were involved in the performance of this particular song were not trained enough to handle teentaal. However, I should ask Nagorik to do more homework on this song before they perform it anywhere. I believe a disciplined raag-taal-based approach and more training would enable this same group to present this very song in a new and more enjoyable form in future.’ Eti lekhar kono manei hay na.. ar jodi apni bolen tahole ekti nay prottek tir jonno bolun, apnar kache eta chotoder proyash hote pare amar kache na, amar kache chotoder chele khela.
