Burning intense all night / Sudipto Chatterjee
It's been burning intense all night
A bluish star, quite jaded.
Take some of its color.
There aren't fireflies in the city--or else--
I'd pick its blue light for you--if nothing else.
What if we never have
What we've never had...
Take the "have-not" shade of color.
Things hereabouts are too colorless these days
There aren't any colors,
There's nothing I can give.
There is nothing I have colored--or else--
I'd color in tomorrow's shade--if nothing else--
This faded, jaded
Waiting on the road.
Take the "waiting" shade of color.
Take the "have-not" shade of color.
Give the "tomorrow" shade of color.
The Nightlong Burning Star / Kobiyaal
Burned intense, the whole night through,
A pallid star with shades of blue,
Its borrowed hue, I offer you.
In the city the fireflies don't visit with their flame,
Otherwise the blue fire , I would've flicked from them.
No harm perchance if you
Don't get it all , miss few
Having not got , get in lieu,
Unfulfilment's great hue,
Take the colour along with you,
take the colour , I offer you.
Grey's the only colour into which these times slowly fade,
All around me I just cannot find another shade,
Could not color anything or else maybe I would tint,
Them in morrow's colours on which , all my hopes are pinned.
The ashen road in view ,
My wait for changes , too,
Unfulfilment's great hue,
Shades of a daybreak new ,
Take these colours , along with you
Take these colours , I offer you.
